San Jose del Cabo is located at the tip of the Baja California peninsula, as is neighboring Cabo San Lucas. San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas are located in the municipality of Los Cabos, which also includes the “hotel corridor” between the two cities. Like most of Baja, San Jose del Cabo has a dry climate, with warm sunny days.
In 1984, San Jose del Cabo’s airport was built, which caught the attention of several resorts interested in opening the doors of progress to this oasis.
Due to the welcoming architecture of the main square, downtown San José del Cabo has become an Art District, where it is possible to find works from different parts of the world, but mainly traditional Mexican art and local creations, which makes it an excellent place to shop and eat.
San Jose del Cabo also boasts a picturesque world-class marina facing the Sea of Cortez and stunning golden sand beaches with famous surfing spots. It is home to great wildlife with seabirds, gray whales and baby turtles going to sea for the first time.
